For the anniversary of the scientist

The publication is dedicated to the 60th anniversary of professor Yuri B. Rubin, the famous Russian scientist, Rector of Moscow University of Industry and Finance «Synergy» and co-chairman of editorial board of our edition entitled «The Journal of Applied Informatics». Professor Yuri B. Rubin is a Doctor of Economics, Corresponding member of Russian Academy of Education, Rector of Synergy University, Head of Theory and Competition Practice Chair. He is a Winner of the Russian Federation Government Prize in Education, Honorary Worker of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation, Member of the International Higher Education Academy of Sciences; Member of Directors Board in the European Foundation for Quality Assurance «E-learning», Honored Worker of the Russian Federation — the Higher School. Yuri B. Rubin was among the initiators of new professions and academic disciplines such as «Applied Informatics» and «Software and administration of information systems». He is a main founder of «The Journal of Applied Informatics» which is published thanks to his support. All his colleagues and the editorial board congratulate Professor Yuri B. Rubin on the 60th anniversary and wish him all the best!

Performance management

Qualitative and quantitative analysis of functional parameters, performance properties and survivability in distributed multi-level information management system is performed using computer modeling tools, including simulation. The models take into account the heterogeneity and variability of structures, network bandwidth and distributed database features. In recent years, become topical investigating the properties of evolving information systems in holding’s management. This article deals with the evolution of management information systems (MIS). Modeling of support MIS performance process is carried out with the use of the optimal composition of the resources required in the first stage. The model takes into account that the parameters of the system gradually drift far enough away from the optimum, and the phase trajectory is «attracted» to the stable, but non-optimal point in the evolution. All this testifies to the fact that the necessary features to achieve the bifurcation point are performed, and the validity of the hypothesis made earlier about the need to release a new version of MIS proved. Bringing the system to even more efficient state without interrupting the life cycle requires some special solutions, one of which is the release of the next version of the MIS. Some scientific research and consulting unit in the holdings can carry out systematic analytical study of MIS on their own, or setting targets for outside organizations — universities or research institutes.

Automated control systems

Ways of increase of efficiency of permission of the emergency situations arising on samples of arms, military and special equipment (AME) of Aerospace defense of the Russian Federation with use of an experimental sample of the Center of situational management of JSC «GPTP «Granit» (CSM) are considered. CSM is a comprehensive distributed automated information management system in the area of responsibility of which is the entire territory of the Russian Federation. The purpose of the CSM is the information support of the activities of all participants in the work to provide the required level of readiness AME aerospace defense groups. The key task solved by enterprise’s situational management system is to ensure the continuity of the production process. This task includes the implementation of condition monitoring of work for all contracts and a comparison of this condition with the approved production plan. It is necessary to continuously monitor the presence and location of all resources, as well as the financial performance of each order, the deviation from the schedule planning, etc. CSM provides display of geographically distributed objects in relation to the respective orders as icons on the map. This provides the ability to view the main parameters characterizing the state of the service facilities or work progress. For effective implementation of complex information technology, on which the work is considered the CSM, it requires skilled engineering staff. «GPTP «Granit» solves this problem on the basis of targeted training in cooperation with the Faculty of Information Technologies of Moscow University for Industry and Finance «Synergy».

Quality management

In this article from the standpoint of system analysis the questions of creation of an information management system to support the process of structuring elastomeric systems are observed. It is necessary to analyze, control and monitor the process of the structuring of elastomers products for the product with desired properties and characteristics obtaining and defect product obtaining prevention. Rheometer curves nowadays are widely used for the mixing and structuring process controlling and monitoring. The functional diagrams of mixing and structuring process are built and also their further decomposition is carried out. For all given functional diagrams all functional blocks are being discussed, the specific operation performers of all technological processes are listed. All necessary equipment for technological operations are named. By example of the products from elastomers manufacture information models for the processes of mixing and structuring were built. For the structuring process description there is also a verbal model in text and table forms is also proposed. The expediency of rheometer curves in the analysis, control and monitoring of the processes of mixing and structuring is shown. Given information model and functional diagramms are represent the basis of the information management system of the mixing and structurig processes support.

Cloud computing relieves the user of the burden of hardware and software installation and management and can be used at the university to enhance curricula and student experience. When cloud computing is considered in literature, the focus is typically on implementing administrative functions. Yet, SaaS and PaaS can make more immediate and substantial contributions to the content of IT-professional course in educational offerings. This paper describes restrictions and requirements of educational process to cloud software development tools, provides the analysis of the cloud IDE’s and cloud databases, reports on experiences using Oracle Application Express and Vertabelo in courses «Databases» at Penza State Technological University, offers the directions of its use in other courses, analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of using cloud services at university. Further, it may enable more educators and students to benefit from this emerging technology.

Today using of the Internet involves various external threats, pose a risk to the finance, life, health and mental status of users. Active «criminalization» of Internet space, as well as the rapid growth in the number of users of children’s and youthful age led to the emergence of new threats requiring adequate means of protection to which consideration of this article. Special attention is given to threats such as ransomware, require payment to unlock the computer or decrypt files on your hard drive; fraud using social network and e-mail, trolling and cyberbullying, i. e. aggressive actions of users with the purpose of causing the victim moral damages; sexting and grooming, i. e. communicating with minors on the topics of sex and dating for the purpose of sexual exploitation or blackmail. The main remedies are: compliance with caution when communicating and posting any material on the network; a set of software tools (backup, data encryption, antivirus protection, parental control, content filtering and so forth); reference to the administration of resources and in law enforcement. In connection with the ongoing trend of integration of social networks and cloud services are offered additional protection measures such as the tightening of registration rules and content filtering in social networks and monitoring Internet activity of users under the age of 14 years.

Software development technologies

During a Unity3D-based application development arose a problem of the best approach to a modular architecture. Main requirements were extensibility of a system via plugin mechanism, good performance within single main loop, aggressive garbage collection tolerance, low memory footprint and minimal amount of allocations. Event-driven architecture has been chosen as the one fitting the bill. This paper describes three different approaches to a message exchange within such an architecture, their relative ease of use, ease of maintenance and performance. Message exchange mechanisms being reviewed are: C# native events, event manager with event and publisher types tracking, static events lists with responsibility demarcation and tight IDE integration. All three methods are supposed to be used inside Unity3D version 4 hence being single-threaded and .NET 3.5 compatible. In the end static events lists approach has proven itself although a little bit more verbose than the two other methods, however the best one in terms of performance and IDE integration. The best thing about the selected approach is the fact that it shifts considerable part of an abstraction overhead into an application compile phase rather than runtime. Considering all being said static events lists approach is the best one to use within Unity3D applications.

The main line of work is developing of specific low-level software for synchronizing data structures between file system and clients. The data represents the logic of BML that also developed by author. The language stores their logic in the XML-like structure that has elements and properties. One of the elements is «Set» that associates with a table in a relational database. And element «Block» associates with a field of some data. The main difference is in the extended nature of elements. So, Block can have specific data type and Set can have relations between other sets. When BML developer modifies the source code it causes problems with database rebuilding. The modified project can produce a high load in the system. So, that process should be distributed by the child process. On the other hand, there is second problem related with constant reading of filesystem data. So, synchronizer should perform also file caching function. Synchronizer through the specified interval checks any modified properties like date or checksum of files in the working directory with BML and totally reloads logic structure data when such changes will be. Author also proposes using of non-blocking sockets for interaction with clients. Necessary data transmits through BSON (Binary JSON) and they should be interpreted by each client that receives it. In the article author made a complex architecture of low-level software and proposes some non-standard solutions.

In an article written based on the report on the X-th International Scientific and Practical Conference «Object Systems — 2015» (Rostov-on-Don) describing the approach to design database structures and reflection the computational models in the ‘’meter-to-cash systems’’. In this article to presenting a new definition of the concept of «calculation model». In an article, describe the basic properties of object-relational of computational models, and proposing a model of the database structure meter-tocash systems in power retail companies. The hierarchy is based on a relationships makes it easy to describe such a model mathematically to form the terms of reference for the development of meter-to-cash systems. The proposed approach of the author of the structural and parametric synthesis of technical systems power supply to consumers in the retail electricity market allows formalizing the various functional elements according to this system. This approach shows how the various of connection, the catalogs and tables, to form the computational model, which describes the electric power system in the physical sense. Presented in the article the way of formalizing the concept of «calculation model» provides the theoretical foundations of the development of methodology for the design, development and maintenance of information systems of the subjects of the retail electricity market.

In article it is offered to divide a set of the problems of representation of knowledge (PRK) in computer systems into the tasks which are put forward to the decision from knowledge engineers and the tasks which are put forward from developers of covers of the systems founded on knowledge (SFK). Then for the researches of PRK which are put forward from developers of covers of PRK systematization is offered and realized. Isolation of the selected researches to the scientific direction (SD) is applied to systematization. That is, the main characteristics of new SD are created and formalized: object, subject, purpose, methods and research problems. For each characteristic the definition is formulated. At the identification and the description of methods of researches of new SD it wasn’t succeeded to reach necessary specification. However consideration in article of the concrete practical works which are already executed within new SD allows successfully (but intuitively) to realize the applied methods of researches. The isolation of SD is executed and described in the article «Representation of knowledges in computer systems» can and has to become the activator of conscious and purposeful researches on creation of sound theoretical basis for the solution of PRK. The material statement in the article is constructed in the form of dialogue with the opponent. And versatility of consideration of a problem on article subject is provided to these. The opponent chose some earlier not studied essence, corresponding it is offered to them to call concept «the virtual admirer ». On each of the stream of sophisms which is put forward by the virtual admirer in the article the explanations opening purposely wrong selection of starting positions are given.
