On the outcome of the higher school reform (reflections of Russian professors)

The higher education reform in Russia is carried out under the flag of the Bologna process. With this reform, the transition is related institutions of higher education to a new system of standards. The reform process stretched for many years that has angered the scientific community. This article contains criticism of the new standards and the ongoing reform. Provides an interesting example of translation in Applied Mathematics and Informatics at the bachelor's degree.

Innovative information and educational technology for the development of teaching staff

The Scientific and Educational Center is re¬sponsible for realization of the program of theoreti¬cal, methodological and technological retraining of teachers in higher, secondary and primary schools in the area of information technology in professional activities. As a part of the implementation of priority activities the Centre is developing educational pro¬grams to improve the teaching staff using e-learning technologies.

Educational standards in the field of information technologies

IT education development technology based on standardized curricula at the international level is discussed. The analysis of the current state of international standards for training programs for bachelor’s and master’s degrees in information technology as well as recommendations on the use of foreign experience in the development of domestic IT-education system are given.

VI International scientific and practical conference «Modern information technology and IT-education»

The conference was held at the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics (CMC) of Moscow M. V. Lomonosov State University. Issues discussed covered the areas of methodology and methodological provision of IT education, e-learning technology and modern IT in education, educational resources and best practices of IT education, scientific software in education and science.
