Knowledge management in the modern neurobiology paradigm

The article deals with issues of knowledge management disciplines development, related with their scientific framework development. Lack of proved framework during study leads to low readiness of integration team members to manage with social risks in projects. There are arguments for active usage of neuroscience as an exact scince that will prove the disciplines thesis and will upgrade the quality of IT-specialties education. Exact knowledge will make specialists able to identify main domains of social risks and to build strategies for their prevention. First, evolution of neurosience is shown, and attention is given to the matter of neuroeconomics and social neurobiology. The areas study decision making and communications using qualitative models. Some of the newest popularized neurobiology models are listed which can be used by lecturers without additional trainings. Specifically, «Chimp» model of Dr. S. Peters deals with necessity of balance between such brain areas as limbic system and frontal lobe. Others argue to the issues of neuroplasticity and cerebral hemispheres role in social functions. Special practices give potential for a person to develop his own mind and to became a leader in particular situations — i. e. in knowledge management projects.

Analysis of educational methods of online IT-courses available on Coursera platform

According to grouth of Coursera popularity in Russia it’s interesting to analyse the educational methods used on the platform. In 2016 the grouth was more than 50% thanks to globalization. So the courses placed on Coursera are now competititors of Russian courses and Russian educational providers need to study good practice. An important specificity of Coursera courses is their adult orientation. That means students motivation for learning, their life experience and time management skills. So educational methods have preconditions for use and sometimes couldn’t be applicable. Organization of learning process as a hierarchy «specializations — courses — weeks» is not a standard approach in Russia and it could require to adapt existing learning programs. So, key leaning methods and techniques that could be good practice are: Executed assignment as public portfolio could grow leaning motivation and responsibility of a student; surely this method assumes to change assignments systematically; Рееr assesement is an interesting method that force a student to see other ways of task decisions and to get informative feedback without a teacher; Interactive simulators could rapidly accelerate learning process especially with several levels of hints for a student. As a remark we don’t recommend to implement all the methods without adaptation. Perhaps, Coursera courses originally intended to be autonomous but teacher involvement could be value-added for a student.

Typical problems of information systems integration and ways of their solution

The task of the study: to compare the difficulties identified in practice with the integration of information systems (IS) with the most promising approaches to their solution; thus, to identify the prerequisites for the creation of a full-fledged method of IS integration. The practical significance of this article is associated with the growing complexity of projects for the integration of information systems and the need to improve the efficiency of project teams. Before the trial integration project in a large retail company there was attempt of classification of issues for three levels: organizational, semantic and technical (according to GOST 55062 – 2012). The search for promising approaches to solve the most typical problems arising at the technical level was carried out.
The most significant conclusions are:
1. The relevance of the current national standard GOST 55062 – 2012 both for systematization of potential problem situations and for building a plan for the future integration of information systems is confirmed.
2. The relevance of micro-service architectural style for solving most typical problems of integration of is of technical level is experimentally confirmed.

Development of cross-platform mobile applications – promising methods and standard practices

The study reveals the current methodological aspects of the development of cross-platform mobile applications. The theoretical significance of the research lies in the generalization and analysis of software products and IDE environments that provide cross- platform development, as well as code generation utilities. The results of a comparative analysis of cross-platform development approaches and the results of a comparative analysis of cross- platform mobile application development tools are presented. The factors that slow down the development of a cross-platform application are identified. Solutions for minimizing functional losses in the conditions of building a universal software product are indicated. Data on the use of Shell scripts was provided, which will increase the efficiency of using the code generation utility. The steps for integrating common logic into native projects are identified. The practical significance of the research results is represented by the methodology for developing cross- platform mobile applications using a combination of tools to remove the identified limitations. The study contains a set of sequential actions and conclusions that the researchers came to in the process of forming a methodology for the cross-platform development of mobile applications. The methodology will allow us to develop a cross-platform software product adapted for subsequent modifications and extensions. This material can be designed in the standard of the developer company in the format of an internal document (instructions) of the developer company. Read more...
